Know before you go: Disney refurbishment list updated Feb. 25, 2013

The weather is warming up here in the Central Florida area and many of the closed water attractions are starting to re-open up from their refurbishment projects. Winter is the time of year, when many of these attractions close for refurbishment. Which really is not a loss or anything missed. I mean, would you ride splash mountain when it is only 39 degrees out? I didn’t think so.

Let’s take a look at this week’s updated list of upcoming and current closures at the Walt Disney World Resorts:

  • Cinderella’s Royal Table will be closed for refurbishment from May 13-May 16, 2013.
  • Mad Tea Party will be closed from April 10-May 21, 2013 for refurbishment.
  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort Beach Pool will be closed for refurbishment from March 7-8, 2013.
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort Computer Pool will be closed for refurbishment from March 7-8, 2013.
  • Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort Duck Pond Pool will be closed for refurbishment from March 4-15, 2013.
  • Disney’s Polynesian Resort Nanea Volcano Pool will be closed for refurbishment from March 4-15, 2013.
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort Bowling Pool will be closed for refurbishment from March 4-6, 2013.
  • Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort Surfboard Bay Pool and Kids Pool will be closed for refurbishment through March 6, 2013.
  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa Beach Pool Slide will be closed through March 8, 2013 for refurbishment.
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort Hippy Dippy Kids Pool will be closed for refurbishment through March 15, 2013.
  • California Grill is closed for refurbishment. Reopening date has yet to be confirmed, but is expected in late August 2013.
  • The American Heritage Gallery is closed through March 1, 2013 for refurbishment.
  • The Spa at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort is closed for its transformation into ‘Senses.’ Reopening date has yet to be confirmed, but is expected in early July 2013.
  • Main Street Bakery will be closed through May 17, 2013 for refurbishment.
  • Blizzard Beach reopens March 16, 2013 after its annual refurbishment project.
  • BoardWalk Bakery will be closed through April 26, 2013 for refurbishment.
  • Splash Mountain will be closed through March 19, 2013 for refurbishment.
  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort Courtyard Pool is closed for refurbishment. Reopening date has yet to be confirmed by is expected mid-March 2013.
