Knighthawks acquire three defensemen at NLL trade deadline

The National Lacrosse League's trade deadline has come and gone and the Rochester Knighthawks were one of several teams made moves. Here is a recap of what went down:

Rochester Knighthawks

  • Acquired defenseman Jon Sullivan and a third-round pick in the 2014 NLL Entry Draft from the Colorado Mammoth.
  • Acquired defensemen Scott Self and Jimmy Purves from the Buffalo Bandits.

Colorado Mammoth

  • Acquired forward Casey Powell from the Rochester Knighthawks.

Buffalo Bandits

  • Acquired forward Alex "Kedoh" Hill and a second-round pick in the 2013 NLL Entry Draft from the Rochester Knighthawks.
  • Acquired a conditional third-round selection in the 2013 NLL Entry Draft from the Philadelphia Wings.
  • Acquired the rights to retired goaltender and current Bandits General Manager Steve Dietrich from the Toronto Rock (in other words, he traded for himself).

Philadelphia Wings

  • Acquired the rights of retired goaltender Mike Thompson from the Buffalo Bandits.

Toronto Rock

  • Acquired a sixth-round pick in the 2015 NLL Entry Draft from the Buffalo Bandits.

Teams have until March 15th at 5:00 p.m. EDT to sign free agents and submit their final rosters.
