Knight's head mark on sterling silver

See also

I'm writing this article mainly to get it out there to be recognized by search engines whenever someone searches for something like "knight's head silver mark". This is because I receive enough questions about this mark to make me think it's a mystery to many.

The mark was one of several used by Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co. of Wallingford, CT. When International Silver bought the company, the mark continued to be used. If someone is trying to identify a pattern with this mark, a search should include both Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co. and International Silver.
