Knight Arts Challenge Miami

“You’re here because, like us, you believe the arts are the highest form of human expression. They describe beauty, speak to our soul, engage and enrage. They celebrate our community’s diversity and etch our shared experience. The arts inspire. It’s your turn to inspire South Florida’s growing local arts scene.”

John S. and James L. Knight Foundation is seeking ideas and innovation in the arts from nonprofits, companies and individuals.

According to Lisa Palley, the Knight Foundation and the upcoming Knight Arts Challenge, will be for one month, Feb. 21- March 19, KnightArts.org accepting idea submissions to an amazing opportunity:

The Foundation is encourage everyone to think of the best idea they can to bring people together with and through the art and continue to make Miami-Dade County an amazing place to live, work, and play!

And as per Lisa’s word’s…“all it took was a good idea!”. “The contest is part of Knight Foundation’s five-year, $40 million Knight Arts initiative, to help bring the South Florida community together through the arts. Over the past four years, the Knight Foundation has invested almost $19 million in this community based contest”.

There are three simple rules:

   1. The idea is about arts.

   2. The project takes place in or benefits South Florida.

   3. You find other funding to match the Knight Foundation grant.

So, take the opportunity to make a great difference!
