Knicks trade rumors have been addressed by owner James Dolan himself. Despite New York Knicks trade rumors continuing to float around the league, it appears that Dolan is not going to make a move with his team. A report from ESPN on Friday morning (Dec. 27) states that the owner had a meeting with his team. During that meeting, he stated that there won't be a deal made and coach Mike Woodson is not going to get fired.
With the team slipping to a 9-19 record, it shouldn't be surprising that so many stories are being written about the team. Everything ranging from Carmelo Anthony getting dealt to Woodson being fired has been suggested, but apparently the franchise is going to stay the course to try to salvage the season. With the Atlantic Division leaders being the Toronto Raptors at 11-15, it would be easy to make a run for the 2014 NBA Playoffs.
Coincidentally, the next game for New York is on Friday night at Madison Square Garden against the Raptors. It's an important game that the team needs to pull out, especially if a run at the postseason is going to be a reality. It's unclear if this latest report will quell the New York Knicks trade rumors out there, but winning a few consecutive basketball games would certainly do it.
