Knicks trade rumors suggest the team wants to acquire point guard Andre Miller. These New York Knicks trade rumors could certainly lead to something, especially since the Denver Nuggets want to part ways with the veteran guard. According to a report from Saturday (Jan. 11), injuries to Pablo Prigioni and Tyson Chandler have the team looking to add new assets for the stretch run.
On the surface, it looks like New York is just hoping that Denver will give away Miller for very little in return. The team has seemed very unwilling to part with young assets or first-round draft picks, so it isn't exactly clear what they have that Nuggets would want. The situation in Denver has been better, as the point guard got into a heated argument with coach Brian Shaw during a recent game. The Franchise has asked him to step away from the team, leading to quite a few stories that the team wants to now deal him.
There will be more teams extending offers to the Denver Nuggets, so these latest New York Knicks trade rumors might not evolve into anything. Andre Miller is under contract for $5 million this season and then $4.6 million in a non-guaranteed season next year. He could provide the team with some very valuable minutes off the bench and has the veteran savvy that could really come in handy for a contender. That alone is reason enough for another team to offer up something like a future first-round pick to get a deal done before New York can.
