Knicks rumors link Carmelo Anthony to the Chicago Bulls this offseason. These New York Knicks rumors about Carmelo Anthony suggest that he might already have a plan following the 2013-14 NBA season. According to a report from NBC Sports on Saturday (Jan. 25), if the NBA All-Star decided to leave New York, he is leaning toward signing with the Bulls.

Updated NBA Playoff Standings

This isn't necessarily bad news for fans in New York, especially since he isn't publically committed to leaving the Big Apple just yet. It is certainly a cause for concern, though, especially if it indicates that he has a plan in place if he does decide to jump ship. The struggles that the team has had this season definitely haven't gone unnoticed around the league, opening the door for stories like this one to gain traction.

There had been previous stories indicating that the Los Angeles Lakers would love to sign him, especially after the franchise cleared a lot of salary. After the Bulls traded away Luol Deng, though, it created a void at small forward that a player like Anthony could easily fill. Putting him on the same court as Derrick Rose would also create an interesting dynamic duo.

While this seems like conjecture at this point, these latest New York Knicks rumors about Carmelo Anthony have to be seriously looked at by fans and people in the front office. If he becomes determined to head there after the 2013-14 NBA season, the franchise might just have to seriously look at trading him.
