Someone tied an adorable kitten inside of a plastic bag, and abandoned her beside a dumpster in Rushville, Ind., reported Tuesday's WISH TV.
The disturbing find was made on Monday morning, by an observant individual who happened to notice that the discarded bag was moving.
The rescued kitten, dubbed "Tripod," was taken to the Rushville Animal Shelter.
The shelter shared the following update with their Facebook fans on Monday:
We were brought a kitten this morning who had been tied up in a bag and dumped by a dumpster.... this kitten had also had its leg cut off. After a visit with the vet she will be just fine and will be adoptable soon.
It is unclear exactly how the kitten lost her rear leg - all that is noted is that it was the result of "some sort of trauma."
After Tripod has fully recuperated from her injury, she will be available for adoption.
