On tonight's edition of "Kitchen Nightmares" on Fox-TV, Chef Gordon Ramsay is continuing his mission in Norwalk, Ohio at the "Mill Street Bistro." The owner, Joe is probably the most egotistical owner ever, and he was the one who invited Gordon to his place. A case of "be careful of what you ask for!"
Last week, when Gordon told him the French onion soup did not have enough onions; Joe put raw onions in it. That was the last straw for Gordon, who told Joe if he wanted him out; he would leave one of the worst "Kitchen Nightmares" ever. Joe sincerely told Gordon that he needed him and to please stay. For Gordon to stay, Joe will have to face reality, because he is obviously living in a fantasy world. Gordon has a plan. He spoke to the staff while Joe was not around; however, Joe was listening with earphones in the next room. As the staff gave their honest opinion, he heard every word. Joe cusses and screams at the staff in front of the customers, the chef knows that the food is inferior, but Joe makes him serve it anyway. Why these people continue to work here is a mystery. Gordon confessed that Joe was listening to every word they said. Joe appeared and did not apologize to the staff. They do not believe that he will change.
Gordon showed Joe and the staff how they need to price the menu so people can afford to eat there. Joe agreed that the menu was overpriced. When Gordon asked him why there was no burger on the menu, Joe said his staff did not want a $10 burger on the menu; Gordon immediately took Joe out to confront the staff. They never said anything about not having a burger. Gordon said whenever he sensed BS; he would confront him on it.
That night, the dinner service was a test of Gordon's new specials. Joe immediately shut down in the middle of the service. As Gordon confronted him, Joe offered nothing but attitude. Then he blamed Gordon for his stupidity and started yelling at Gordon the way he yells at his staff. As he started a fight with Gordon; both he and Tom completed the cooking. Joe then went out to talk to the customers and tell them what a jerk Gordon was. The customers just listened, but it was plain to see that they wanted to just get up and leave.
Gordon has been in hundreds of kitchens and told Joe that he was running the business into the ground. He told him that he could not be in that kitchen. Gordon designed a fresh menu and came in the next day and had it all prepared. Gordon introduced the staff and Joe to the new chef who will work there until he finds his suitable replacement. Gordon then went to a cancer fundraiser where he invited people to the relaunch.
On relaunch night, the orders started coming, Chef Brian was doing an awesome job communicating, Joe was communicating with his servers. Joe was helping; but gave food to the wrong table and then tried to bring it back and resend it to the right table. The chef reprimanded him for attempting to use the same food. They made it through the relaunch with a great attitude. Gordon handed out shirts to the staff and told them that everyone at the relaunch was a cancer survivor. He did not want to tell them before, the people did not want pity, just a good time, and good time they had.
Gordon still had his doubts about Joe, some of the staff has left the restaurant, but as Gordon suspected, Joe is back in the kitchen. Now the future of the Mill Street Bistro is up in the air for one of Gordon's biggest "Kitchen Nightmares" ever.
