HGTV's Kitchen Cousins Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri are the dynamic duo of kitchen renovations. These New Jersery contractors transform outdated and dysfunctional kitchens into beautiful spaces for some extremely lucky homeowners. From countertops to cabinets, backsplashes and sinks, these two designers give new meaning to before and after makeovers.
Anthony Carrino obtained his background in construction thanks to his father Alfonso, who started a family business named Brunelleschi Construction nine years ago specializing in home restoration. John Colaneri joined the Brunelleschi company at the urge of his uncle and cousin and the rest is history. John is currently enrolled at the Stevens Institute pursuing a masters degree in construction management.
Kitchen Cousins design style is mostly transitional which is somewhere between traditional and contemporary as the transitional kitchen style is timeless and classic. They infuse a lot of bright colors (blue, yellow and green) in their designs and refurbish cabinets whenever possible.
Design tips from Kitchen Cousins:
- Use quartz for kitchen countertops as it is very durable.
- Buy Energy Star appliances to lower energy bills.
- Use dark grout when applying backsplashes as it tends to look less dirty.
