Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was admitted to a New York hospital on Tuesday after a fall at his home, according to a Mar. 5 Reuters report.
The New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center said issued a statement saying Kissinger was expected to be released later in the day, but offered up no details surrounding how the former Secretary of State sustained the fall or how bad the injury was, if any.
The 89-year-old’s legacy continues as the leading voice on U.S. foreign policy over the last few decades, according to Reuters. Kissinger served during the Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford administrations.
In 2010, he was hospitalized in South Korea after suffering from stomach pains while attending a security forum, according to the Huffington Post. Kissinger's condition was deemed “not serious” at the time, and he was treated and released at Seoul's Severance Hospital, spokesman Han Jin-ho said.
