For the past several years, Dr. Fardad and his colleague, cosmetic dentist, Dr. Vafa, have donated free surgical makeovers to domestic violence survivors through a local charity called The Safe Passage Home. Safe Passage provides shelter, counseling, and plastic surgery and dentistry makeovers, to domestic violence victims to help restore their self-esteem.
This year, just in time for Valentine’s Day, Drs. Fardad and Vafa are joining forces to offer “Kissing for a Cause.” During the week of February 7 through February 12, 2011, the doctors will donate a portion of all proceeds earned from the purchase of Botox, lip fillers, and teeth whitening treatments, respectively. With the biggest date night of the year on the horizon, this is a great opportunity for Angelenos to get beautiful on the outside while doing something that will leave them feeling better on the inside.
Not quite ready for a touch-up? No worries. People wanting to participate may purchase gift certificates on behalf of the Charity which are redeemable at a later date.
The week will culminate in a private cocktail party personally hosted by the Doctors on Saturday, February 12. All those who bought a charitable item or gift certificate will be feted and honored. Attendees will also get to meet with and hear the brave stories of the women whose lives will be transformed by the beauty purchases made that week. Pucker up!
