KISS, Hall & Oates, Nirvana among 2014 inductees for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The inductees for the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been announced. The list includes performers Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oates, KISS, Nirvana, Linda Ronstadt and Cat Stevens. The Ahmet Ertegun Awards will go Brian Epstein and Andrew Loog Oldham. The Award for Musical Excellence: The E Street Band. Epstein was the long time manager for The Beatles. Oldham is the Rolling Stones manager and producer. The E Street Band has been the long time backing back for Bruce Springsteen.

Artists are eligible for induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after their first release. Gabriel was inducteed in 2010 as a member of the band Genesis but he was not present at the ceremony.

The 29th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Tickets will go on sale to the public in January.
