KISS announce 2014 Las Vegas residency shows

This will be a busy year for KISS. Not only are they currently on tour, but they have just announced their Las Vegas residency for the year. They will perform a string of nine shows at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino beginning November 5.

A trailer for the upcoming shows was also released showcasing the energy and insanity that goes into a KISS show. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 18 with prices starting at $49.50.

Speaking about the upcoming shows to USA Today, Paul Stanley said “Whatever you’re used to with KISS, this will pump it up that much more. If KISS is on steroids, this is a double dose. Usually, going into a smaller venue means eliminating things. The great thing about going into The Joint, it gives us the opportunity to add. Much in the same way as a Broadway show, when you have a permanent installation, you’re not breaking down every night to travel. So we can do things we wouldn’t normally do.” The complete list of dates can be found below.

Earlier this year, KISS was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with Nirvana, Hall and Oates, Linda Ronstandt, Peter Gabriel, and Cat Stevens. The band became upset with the event because it would only induct the original members of the band, excluding those who joined later.

The band are currently on the road as part of their co-headlining tour with Def Leppard. The legendary rock stars will make their Chicago visit August 16 at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park. Tickets are still available.
