Former Kiss lead guitarist Ace Frehley is currently under the gun financially with the U.S.Bank Nation Association, and could lose his New York home to foreclosure very soon according to Radar Online reports on Monday, Feb.25.
Reports reveal that Ace Frehley has not paid the mortgage on his home in close to two years. On Feb. 15 the bank ordered a foreclosure filing on the former rock star's home asking that the court order a sale on the home to pay Frehley's outstanding principle of $703,581.48 plus charges accrued since 2006.
The former "Rock and Roll All Night" hit maker borrowed money for the family's three bedroom, three bath 2,441 square foot home that sits on three acres in 2006. Records also reveal that the 61-year-old musician,Ace Frehley also owes two years in unpaid taxes. Reports state that Ace Frehley has been unavailable for comment on the matter.
Back in 2002 Frehley announced that he would be leaving Kiss for good after the bands 'farewell tour."
Ace Frehley, whose real name is Paul Daniel is best as the former lead guitarist of the rock band Kiss. Frehley took on the persona of the "Spaceman" or "Space Ace", and played with the group from its inception in 1973 until his departure in 1982.
After leaving Kiss, Frehley embarked on a solo career, which was put on hold when he rejoined Kiss in 1996 for a highly successful reunion tour. Frehley's second venture with Kiss lasted until 2002 when Ace left the group for the final time just after the end of the bands "Farewell Tour."
Freshly's latest album "Anomaly," was released on September 15, 2009. at which time Guitar World magazine ranked him 14th Greatest Metal Guitarist of All Time according to Wikipedia.
During a 2009 interview with Rock N Roll Experience Magazine, Ace stated, "I'm an Anomaly, I'm an un-schooled musician, I don't know how to read music, but I'm one of the most famous guitar players in the world, so go figure."
Ace Frehley has currently been working at a the Rock n’ Roll Fantasy Camp in Las Vegas.
