What is it about Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his former “Dancing With the Stars” partners? The Ukrainian pro dancer is in the middle of another feud with one of his ex- dancing partners and this one is getting ugly.
On Sunday, Us Weekly posted details about a Twitter rant from “DWTS” Season 11 contestant Kirstie Alley, which is clearly directed at the mirrorball winning choreographer. And Alley’s latest tweet seems to be a continuation of the same angry theme: “I have a great idea!!! Why don't we all confess the things WE have done, INSTEAD of what others have done. #cowards,” she tweeted on Sunday.
According to the celeb gossip magazine, after Chmerkovskiy dished on his strained relationship with his onetime partner during a guest stop on “Watch What Happen Live," Alley responded with a tweet that said: "Dear Sir…after you have a-- raped me there is really no reason to include 'I wish you the best'.. It's rhetorical.”
Chmerkovskiy told “WWHL” host Andy Cohen that his former friend Alley, who practices Scientology, stopped getting along with him, and he added,” I'm not judging people by their religion. I'm Jewish. I don't really believe in science fiction, whatever.” The pro dancer also revealed that he was given a message from a friend who told him Alley can no longer speak to him because he’s “associating with other people that she can't be associated with.” Chmerkovskiy is friendly with ex-Scientologist Leah Remini.
“But I still think the world of [Alley] and wish her all the best,” he added.
Over the weekend, Alley hit Twitter with a series of posts: “To those who believe nasty gossip spewed by others, please stop following. To those who know me, carry on,” she wrote. “I won’t dignify any of your accusations with anything other than ADIOS. This tweet is for those of U who believe the Moon is made of cheese.”
Chmerkovskiy has remained amazingly quiet following Alley’s Internet nasty grams, but that wasn’t the case back in 2012, when his Season 13 partner, Hope Solo, slammed him in her memoir. After the Olympic soccer goalie wrote that he was nasty to her, “manhandled” her, and even slapped her during “DWTS” rehearsals, Chmerkovskiy fired off a tweet that was clearly earmarked for her: "Always hated hypocrites and liars...but when someone is both AND an opportunist, I just feel bad for them. Can't win at someone's expense...”
While the hot headed pro dancer has famously butted heads with his “DWTS” partners Brandy, Melissa Gilbert and Erin Andrews, he’s always managed to patch things up. As for his battle with his onetime good pal Kirstie Alley, it looks like both stars are the losers in this one.
