Kirk Hinrich out tonight against Charlotte

Kirk Hinrich will sit out tonight’s game against the Charlotte Bobcats.

Nate Robinson will get the start.

Hinrich was given Sunday’s afternoon practice off to rest. He appeared to suffer a lower body injury in Saturday’s win over Washington after banging his right knee in the second half.

Coach Tom Thibodeau wouldn’t specify what the current injury is, saying “it’s a compilation of things.”

Hinrich tried to warm up before tip-off, but couldn’t go.

“He’s day-to-day,” Thibodeau said. “He was better yesterday and better today. So, hopefully tomorrow he will be ready.”

Hinrich has suffered from various ailments this season and will miss his third game of the season.

Charlotte comes into the game losers of their last 18.
