Kir royale chocolates a taste of Finger Lakes

MILLPORT, NY -- It's probably too late to pick up a box of kir royale chocolates from Preliminaires Chocolat, but keep this item in mind as a true New York creation.

Christian Thirion, owner of the Chemung County candy company, created the special chocolate using cassis liqueur from Finger Lakes Distilling and Bolicelli sprkling wine from Damiani Wine Cellars.

Bolicelli sparkling wine and our Cassis liqueur.  This tasty little morsel has a perfect crunch when you bite into it and a fluffy sweetness inside. Highly addictive!  Visit our tasting room to purchase. We're open 11-5 today for any of you looking for that last minute Valentine's gift.

Thirion, a native of France, studied and taught his craft in France and Switzerland before coming to the U.S. in 1979. Before founding Preliminaires Chocolat in 2010, he spent 20+ years as a glass artist.
