The Kino Classics Blu-ray releases of the hard-to-find Bette Davis features, Of Human Bondage and Hell's House, are remarkable and should be added to the serious cinephile's film collection.

The 1934 film, Of Human Bondage, tells the tale of a sensitive artist named Philip and his crush on a worldly waitress named Mildred. Directed by John Cromwell and written by Lester Cohen, this film is a must-see with tender and funny moments and a superb performance from Davis.

The 1932 film, Hell's House, tells of the harsh conditions at a reform school, featuring Bette Davis as the kindly Peggy Gardner. This film was shot in only thirteen days, was directed by Howard Higgin and written by Paul Gangelin and B Harrison Orkow.

Both films have been mastered in HD from "archival 35mm elements preserved by the Library of Congress". Of Human Bondage contains a feature length documentary, entitled Revealing Mr. Maugham.
