Today, April 28, HyperX, a division of Kingston Technology Company made an announcement regarding their newest gaming headset, the HyperX Cloud Headset. The news comes via a press release on their website.

According to the press release, "[The] HyperX Cloud features extremely comfortable ear cushions and larger audio drivers to give gamers ultimate comfort and superior sound during long game play sessions." This is due to the fact that the ear cushions feature memory foam padding.

The ear pads will also be over-the-ear to help block out other ambient noise in the room. This should allow players to become fully immersed in whatever game they're currently playing.

Users will also be able to detach the microphone. This means that the Cloud Headset will be able to double as a music headset. This makes sense since the headsets are also compatible with desktops, notebooks, mobile phones, and airplane adaptors. The HyperX Cloud Headsets will also be compatible with the PS4.

For added durability, the headsets have been constructed out of aluminum. The HyperX Cloud Headset comes with a two-year warranty.

If these headsets are any good as they say they are, this will be a small blow to those who can't use this with their XBox One. Will you still buy these anyways? They currently retail for $99.99 and can be found on website such as
