Kingsley’s Mandarin is too smooth in the latest 'Iron Man 3' Poster

When word went out that Mandarin was to be the villain in “Iron Man 3,” there was both excitement and worry among fans of this Marvel Studios staple. Because out of all of Iron Man’s numerous foes, The Mandarin is his main nemesis, his perennial bad guy.

But then there is the question of how do you depict a villain portrayed in some of the most xenophobic terms of the bygone era it was created in.The answer is simple: substitute the Asian caricature with Ben Kingsley, all while putting a modern twist on the character.

This latest “Iron Man 3” poster to be released is probably the most crucial of the bunch, namely because fans of the film, who have been grumbling about the lack of footage showing a full shot of The Mandarin, got the full reveal. Marvel put that chatter to rest.

And from Kingsley's smooth, if you may say “pimp,” take on this iconic Iron Man villain. Fans should have a lot to look forward to Summer 2013.
