Despite the title not referencing the obvious fact it’s a collection, we received word on Feb. 25 that “Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix” will sport a trophy system, just like every other PS3 collection.
Responding to a question in The PlayStation Blog’s comments section, Square Enix’s Robert Peeler talked about how trophies are going to be implemented. Here’s what he had to say:
“The trophy sets are different for each game. There is also a set of trophies for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days when watching the cinematics.”
Other HD collections currently on the market have one platinum trophy per title, so it’s safe to assume that we shall see at least two of them in the collection, with a small possibility of a third for videos. Peeler has also stated we can expect “hours of video footage” from 358/2 Days, which is present to help flesh out Roxas’ story.
The announcement only detailed a physical release, so when Peeler was asked whether it would be a Day 1 Digital title he was only able to say the “don’t have any announced plans to put it out digitally.” Then, when a question was shifted to a PlayStation 4 release, he simply said the game was “currently only slated to be available for PlayStation 3.”
Heading over to the European PlayStation Blog, Square Enix Central Community Manager Benjamin Bateman revealed the game will be localized in French, German, Spanish, and Italian. He also said that “Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix” will not include Japanese voices.
