A North American localization announcement for the latest remastered Kingdom Hearts game has been highly speculated about since Roxas/Ventus voice actor Jesse McCartney shared some behind-the-scenes video of a Kingdom Hearts project last month, tweeting that he was “recording the next chapter”, but today we finally have confirmation. On Feb. 25, it was officially revealed that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX will be headed stateside later this this year.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX is a remastered collection of PS2 titles Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, and hi-def cinematic cutscenes of Nintendo DS title Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. According to the PlayStation Blog, there will be trophies for the title, but the English localization will not support Japanese voice-over.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX will be available on the PlayStation 3 home console in Japan on March 14, with North American and European versions following suit with a projected released date of Fall 2013. Stay tuned for more information on the game's US release as it becomes available.
