There was a good handful of information on Kingdom Hearts 3D at this year's Jump Festa. First up, KH 3D has a March 2012 release date in Japan.
KH 3D's combat system involves the use of Dream Eater companions. You can summon these creatures to aid you in battle via your Link Gauge. When you assail your opponents, the target icon will sometimes switch. When the icon changes, you can press X & A or slide down on the touch panel to unleash a Reality Shift move.
Nomura mentioned earlier in the year that he wants the switch to Sora and Riku to happen at random intervals in the game. This is represented by the Drop Gauge. Once this gauge hits 0, you will fall asleep and switch to the other character.
The trailer itself features a fusillade of cameos from all other Kingdom Hearts games. Along with this, KH 3D also sports all of the main cast members of The World Ends with You. And lastly, the trailer reveals two new worlds: Tron: Legacy and the Three Musketeers.
With all these cameos, the next question to ask is: what role will the Mysterious Figure from Birth by Sleep will play in KH 3D?
