Tetsuya Nomura has left a special message in the upcoming Playstation 3 title, “Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix.” According to a report by Kingdom Hearts Insider on Sept. 6, the co-director of the upcoming “Kingdom Hearts 3” talked a little bit about the first game in the series in addition to commenting about his future.
Tetsuya Nomura disclosed that his “only regret” in the series was the lack of a western release for the Final Mix edition of the “Kingdom Hearts.” The Japan-only re-release added several elements such as gameplay improvements and story events to the original game. He also disclosed that developing the first title was “extremely challenging” due to the new gameplay system that was implemented.
The game director also thanked fans for their passion, stating that he will continue to develop video games for a very long time. You can take a look at several screenshots from “Kingdom Hearts 3” in the slideshow on the top left-hand side of this article and his comments below (courtesy of Kingdom Hearts Insider):
The KINGDOM HEARTS series would not have lasted this long without the incredible support from you, the fans. In response to your passion towards the KINGDOM HEARTS series, I will continue to create something you can all enjoy playing for the next several decades.
In addition to co-directing “Kingdom Hearts 3,” Tetsuya Nomura is the main director behind “Final Fantasy XV.” Both of his titles, which have been announced for the PS4 and Xbox One next-generation systems, will be showcased at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
