A new comparison has been made in regards to the upcoming remastered compilation, “Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix.” According to a report from Gear Nuke on Dec. 21, the remastered visuals from the Playstation 3 version of “Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep” were compared to the original PSP release.
The character models of the three main characters of the story (Aqua, Terra and Ventus) looked a lot better on the high-definition console. The textures have been improved while the anti-aliasing was also applied to give off a cleaner look. You can checkout the comparison screens (the PSP version is posted first, followed by the Playstation 3 iteration) in the slideshow to the left of this article. The gallery also contains other images from “Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix.”
Along with “Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep,” the compilation includes “Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix” as well as “Kingdom Hearts: Re Coded.” The latter will most likely contain just cut scenes instead of the actual gameplay.
Square Enix is planning to release “Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix” sometime next year exclusively for the Playstation 3 current-generation console. Although an official price tag has not yet been announced, many expect it to launch with a similar value as “Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix” at $39.99.
“Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep” was first released for the PSP in 2010.
