King The Kid Announce New EP + Acoustic European Tour

King The Kid, consisting of drummer Ricky Ficarelli, vocalist/guitarist David Michael Frank, and guitarist Jose Mostajo announced the other day that a new EP, which the band has been working on for a while now, is set for release on June 24. Titled Breakaway, their fans have already gotten a taste of what the EP has to offer, with the single "So Long (My Lover)” (released in May).

To celebrate the release of the EP, the three will be performing a free Internet concert on Cogo, scheduled for June 21st. More information on the stream is available here.

All money donated to the band during the concert stream is going towards funding their European tour, titled “The Dandiest Lion Tour: Europe.” Last spring, the band embarked on a nearly two month long journey across North America and played in homes and venues that their fans owned, providing an intimate experience and gave fans the opportunity to hear their debut album, Start Something, in a new light (the tour also inspired the acoustic album, Start Something: Reinvented). Information on the European tour can be found in their official announcement here.

Currently, the band is finishing up touring with friends Against The Current, who they’ve been on tour with since the middle of May. Check out the remaining dates here.
