Sub Pop Records garage-power pop wunderkind King Tuff all but burned down the house Friday night at Off Broadway. Touring off his self titled debut and a 2013 Burger Records re-issue - DeLuxe blue edition of 2008's Was Dead - King Tuff was definitley on top of St Louis last weekend.
With standout songs like "Alone & Stoned" and "Sun Medallion" King Tuff jolted a full house of believers with their psychedelic stylings full of tuneful beats & pensive guitar riffs. We were definitely not 'alone' in this rock club. King Tuff over-delivered, once again, a clever and imaginative sound. Get past the "we don't give a fuck" facade and you will see; they play tight, on point and are more than eager to deliver a kick ass rock show.
