King LeBron James is Going Home

For the Miami Heat the Championships may well be over. King LeBron James is returning to Cleveland Ohio, where he broke so many hearts four years ago. One must wonder at this time if leaving Cleveland broke his heart a little bit too. No doubt leaving wasn’t easy for LeBron. After all he is an Ohioan, an Akron man

In fact, LeBron had to think well about returning to the Cavaliers. Upon his leaving four years ago, the owner, Dan Gilbert was enraged. He wrote a scathing letter about LeBron, deeming him as a deserter of those who had raised and created him to be all he became. The letter, which has now disappeared was publicized on the Cavaliers Home Page. There was a question as to whether James would return to Cleveland because of Gilberts letter, but LeBron is going anyway and the fans are ecstatic!

When LeBron left Cleveland, all the fans were extremely upset. LeBron tells Sports Illustrated, however, he would do it again;

“If I had to do it all over again, I’d obviously do things differently, but I’d still have left,” James wrote. “Miami, for me, has been almost like college for other kids. These past four years helped raise me into who I am. I became a better player and a better man. I learned from a franchise that had been where I wanted to go. I will always think of Miami as my second home. Without the experiences I had there, I wouldn't be able to do what I’m doing today.”

LeBron wants his home state to win some championships. Like any athlete he wants titles for himself, of course, but it is important to him to win the crown for his home-state, Northeast Ohio. For Cleveland, it's going to be a brand new day.

LeBron wrote;

''Before anyone ever cared where I would play basketball, I was a kid from Northeast Ohio. It's where I walked,'' James told SI. ''It's where I ran. It's where I cried. It's where I bled. It holds a special place in my heart. People there have seen me grow up. I sometimes feel like I'm their son. Their passion can be overwhelming. But it drives me. I want to give them hope when I can. I want to inspire them when I can.''

It seems that LeBron had the dream of returning home to Cleveland in his heart. That dream has now been fulfilled, and LeBron is going home.
