The Shrine Chicago started off the New Year with more “Philly Soul.” Kindred the Family Soul returned for the second concert in their monthly series at The Shrine. The audience sang along to these popular lyrics to the hit, No Limit:
“I will walk from LA to Chicago
Where ever you want me
I will swim from NY to Montego”
Once again, The Shrine was filled to capacity as patrons partied together “like family,” as stated by Fatin Dantzler and Aja Graydon of Kindred the Family Soul. The event was orchestrated in classic Shrine style, with the courteous and friendly staff on hand to make sure that everything was just right.
When Kindred performed another favorite tune, Far Away, they were joined on stage by Black Thought and 2013 GRAMMY Award nominees Robert Glasper on keyboards and Questlove, on drums. The audience sang and danced the night away. The Shrine has a non-stop show-stopping line up set for 2013. In the coming weeks Rakim, Dwele, Shabazz Palaces and Tortured Soul will play the venue. In addition to live singers and bands, the club features renowned DJs spinning music. For a full schedule of events and to purchase tickets visit The Shrine online.
