Atlanta fashionistas, Spanish fashion designer Kina Fernandez presented her Fall/Winter collection in a well-received fashion show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid Autumn/Winter 2012 held at Ifema on February 3, 2012 in Madrid, Spain.
Designer Kina Fernandez presents a color palette of burgundy and grey, browns as well as a good selection of formal evening gowns for this Fall/Winter 2012.
One of the most striking ensembles in Fernandez’s offering at the fashion show included the lacy body suit with the furry shoulders, paired with the open pearl grey pleated chiffon skirt. The layering of designs and textures as well as the shock of the leg was particularly effective for the runway but for practicality, one could wear the look with cut off tights or alter the skirt so that it’s no longer open, yet has the wrap look…
The same pleated grey wrap skirt is featured with a black top with furry shoulders (drama!) and what looks like a white lace necklace. The retro hairstyle and dark red lipstick on the model also add an air of sophistication to the ensemble.
My best picks from Kina Fernandez’s collection include the block striped black and pale grey coat (slightly fuzzy!), the burgundy and cocoa pleated dress with the dark brown coat and the two-toned brown one-should evening gown with the black beading on the bodice.
