Kimora Lee Simmons took some time out of her busy schedule today to talk to me about a new charity venture she is promoting; TeacherWishList.com. This amazing, online tool helps parents and teachers get the learning tools and cleaning supplies that they need in order to maintain a clean, positive learning environment for children.
Kimora Lee Simmons: “Teacher Wish List allows teachers to concentrate on helping their students to learn and thrive in a clean and safe environment.” TeacherWishList.com is an online tool which allows teachers to create their own wish list of items they need for the school year in order to help maintain a clean and safe learning environment. This fabulous online tool helps alleviate the average $462 teachers spend per year out of their own pockets for cleaning supplies and learning tools for their classrooms.
TeacherWishList.com, which was created by School Family Media and is supported by Bounty, also held drawings for teachers. Kimora Lee Simmons explains that teachers who registered their wish lists on the site through September 27th were eligible to win Bounty grants of $462 to help them purchase school supplies from their lists and that schools with five or more registered teachers were entered for the chance to win the grand prize $25,000 art classroom makeover.
Parents can go online to TeacherWishList.com and locate their school. If their child’s teacher is not listed, parents can invite their teachers to join Teacher Wish List and create a list of items they need for the school year. Teachers can easily promote their lists to parents who can, in turn, make purchases off of the list and help support their child’s classroom. The best part of the website is that it is free!
