In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Jimmy Kimmel slams Jay Leno, claiming that the “Tonight Show” host “sold out” to acquire his massive fame and fortune.
According to the New York Daily News, who received an early copy of Rolling Stone, Kimmel opts to make a pretty unique restaurant analogy to chastise Leno.
In the interview, Kimmel says that Jay “was a master chef who opened a Burger King.”
But it’s not a total slam fest of Leno in that article. Kimmel, who if you haven’t seen the promos will be moving to the 11:30pm eastern time slot to not only compete against Leno, but also Letterman, was much more complimentary of his rival on CBS.
“If I beat David Letterman in the ratings, does that mean I’m better than Letterman? No f****** way,” he said.
This interesting interview with Kimmel comes approximately one week after David Letterman’s comments about Jay in a promo for “Oprah’s Next Chapter.” In the promo, Letterman claimed that Leno was the “most insecure” man he’s ever known.
