On Thursday evening, Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry married her sweetheart, J.P. Arencibia, professional baseball player, in her hometown of Greeneville, Tenn. Reports from the "Greeneville Sun" newspaper said the wedding happened in Christ Chapel at 7:00 p.m. The town was abuzz with excitement of the nuptials that occurred in their small town in rural Tennessee.
Wedding guests included Perry’s country music pal Carrie Underwood and her husband, as well as Perry’s brothers, Neil and Reid.
The blossoming romance started when Kimberly Perry met J.P. Arencibia, a professional baseball player, at the Florida Strawberry Festival in 2012. Arencibia got to meet Perry at a meet and greet. Arencibia is a former graduate of the University of Tennessee and currently a player for the Texas Rangers baseball team.
In September 2013, Arencibia popped the question at Perry's home of her parents. He stood under an oak tree and asked her to marry him with a three-carat emerald cut diamond engagement ring. Soon fans were wondering when the wedding would take place.
WSMV revealed video footage as Kimberly Perry entered the chapel with a beautiful off the shoulder white full length wedding gown. Fans outside the chapel cheered as she took her first steps inside and as she exited with as a newlywed with her husband.
The Band Perry has been on tour as a headlining act this spring. They plan on resuming their tour on June 20 in Austin, Texas. They recently performed on the 2014 CMT Music Awards in Nashville, as well as performed at LP Field during the CMA Music Fest.
