Kim Zolciak sued: Kandi Burruss sues Kim over ‘Tardy for the Party’

Kim Zolciak sued by her own TV co-star? Well, on Friday, March 15, it was confirmed that “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burruss had enough of Kim’s games and decided to sue over the song “Tardy for the Party.”

The track “Tardy for the Party” was produced by Kandi herself and was the subject of tons of jokes once Kim not only became attached to the project, but recorded the song.

And surprisingly, the song did pretty well for Zolciak, although she certainly wouldn’t win “American Idol.”

But now, Kim is being sued for copyright infringement. And Kandi and Kim’s co-star, Phaedra Parks, is representing Burruss.

To break it down, Kandi believes that while she wrote the song for Kim to use, she still owns the rights to the song. And according to Kandi, Kim has allegedly marketed and sold the song on a variety of different formats without the express written consent of Kandi.

The lawsuit against Kim Zolciak was filed on March 12.

This is certainly an ugly situation for both Kandi and Kim, and we’re not really sure how it will affect their schedules on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” moving forward.
