Reality TV star Kim Zolciak Biermann flaunted her fit bikini body after losing 50 pounds less than eight months after giving birth to twins in two Instagram selfies she posted July 29.
Kim, 36, wrote in the photo caption that she has been the same size her entire life despite giving birth to six children: Twins Kaia and Kane, 8 months, Kroy Jr., three, Kash, 2, Ariana, 13, and Brielle, 17.
Zolciak said good genes played a role in her speedy post-baby weight loss. Kim's estranged mother, Karen Zolciak, is reed-thin.
"I definitely think genetics play a role, that's No. 1," she confessed. "No. 2, I think with twins every little morsel of food you eat goes to the baby. I made two human beings at the same time and I gained 50 pounds. I gained 50 pounds with KJ, so the twins, I think they took it from me."
As she did during her previous pregnancies, Zolciak shed most of her baby weight shortly after childbirth. In December 2013, Kim made headlines after revealing she was back to a size 4 just nine days after giving birth.
Portion-Controlled Diet and Cardio Workouts
The busty 5-foot-8 Kim was immediately accused of getting a tummy tuck or other weight-loss surgery, but vehemently denied those rumors. Zolciak is not a health-food fanatic, and said portion control is what keeps her slim.
Zolciak, a rep for Xenadrine, also credited the diet pills for suppressing her appetite. Kim, who said she hates to work out, does an hour of cardio exercise evercise daily with NFL star husband, Kroy Biermann, a defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons.
Zolciak said exercising with her husband with her husband has provided a lot of motivation. Biermann, 28, tore his Achilles tendon last year and has since stocked their Atlanta home with exercise and rehab equipment.
Kim, a self-professed former couch potato, said she has learned a lot by watching her disciplined husband work out. "The mind of an athlete is like no other," she said. "This man is incredible. He pushes me and when it starts to burn, I won't quit and he won't let me."
Kim, who starred on the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" from 2008 to 2012, now stars on her own reality TV show, "Don't Be Tardy," which is currently in its third season.
