Kim Zimmer, known to One Life to Live fans as Echo DiSavoy, will be performing on stage in Connecticut next month.
Zimmer is perhaps more well known for playing Reva on the beloved soap opera Guiding Light. Her daytime career began on The Doctors, in which she played Nola Dancy.
According to Frank Rizzo of the Hartford Courant, Kim Zimmer will portray Mrs. Hayes in Stephen Svoboda's "Odysseus D.O.A." ("Soap Star Kim Zimmer to Headline Play at Connecticut Rep," Frank Rizzo, Hartford Courant, January 1, 2012.)
The Connecticut Repertory Theatre describes the play on their website:
"As the final stages of his disease bend his vivid imagination, Elliot becomes the legendary hero Odysseus determined to bring his crew-his fellow patients on the AIDS ward-home despite all the obstacles the gods throw in his way. This wise, heartfelt drama charts one man's heroic quest for Kleos - Glory, to live a life worthy of being remembered."
The play will run February 23 to March 4. For more information, ticket prices, and performance times, visit Connecticut Repertory Theatre online.
Kim Zimmer recently starred in "Love, Loss and What I Wore." Her fellow One Life to Live star, Robin Strasser, will be starring in that play in February.
