Will Kim take the name of West, or will she retain her maiden name of Kardashian? According to Radar Online, Kris Jenner is worried that Kim will drop the Kardashian name, or trademark, to take her husband's last name.

Kim changed her name on Twitter and Instagram to Kim Kardashian West. Her Facebook profile was changed to Kim Kardash West. On May 25, she posted this message on her Facebook page, “It’s official now I am Mrs. West."

A source tells Radar Online, “There is no way Kris would ever give her blessing for the main cash cow of the Kardashian empire, to not continue to use that name professionally.” The source said that Kris will “fight it tooth and nail,” to see that the name Kardashian stays attached to Kim’s identity. She would even change Kanye’s last name to Kardashian if she could get away with it.

The Kardashian name is connected to all their money-making venues. It’s the name of their TV reality show, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” It’s in the name of their exclusive clothing line, Kardashian Kids, Kardashian Kollection, and K-Dash by Kardashian.

On her public profiles, Kim must have decided to keep both last names, so maybe that will keep Kris happy and the money flowing in. One can wonder if the Kardashian name is so important, why didn't Kris keep that name when she married Bruce Jenner. Kris was married to Robert Kardashain from 1978 to 1991.

Do you think that Kim should stay Kim Kardashian? Should she take the West name and drop Kardashian, or have both names? Please leave your comments below.
