One of the top contemporary jazz saxophonists is Kim Waters and he will be playing at Catalina Bar & Grill, Friday, March 22 at 8pm. This is one of the venues that has showcased top jazz talent over the years. Catalina Bar & Grill is located on 6725 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood and the phone number is 323-466-2210. Waters plays multiple instruments including: keyboards, guitar, drums and bass. He also sings too. He was inspired by greats such as: Duke Ellington, Herbie Hancock, George Benson and Grover Washington, Jr.
Waters will also perform Saturday and Sunday at Catalina. If you get the chance, go out and see him. He has a new CD titled This Heart of Mine. The disc has 11 tunes on it including: Heart Seeker, Free Fall, Empire State of Mine, The Groove's Alright and Stay With Me Tonight among others.
