A Kim Pham arrest update is encouraging, but police are trying to make sense of the beating that left the 23-year-old woman brain dead. One woman was arrested in connection with the brutal night club beating at the Crosby Restaurant and Night Club that left Kim Pham dead, in the early morning hours Saturday, according to a Jan. 21 KTLA news report.

With Kim Pham's death, an arrest begins the painstaking task by authorities to find others allegedly responsible for the horrific assault, battery, and eventual death of the hapless woman.

Sources say while Pham waited outside the venue, located in the 400 block of North Broadway downtown Santa Ana, she became involved in an argument with another woman. At some point, four of the unnamed woman's friends intervened and the five of them began attacking Pham.

Pham was knocked to the ground and the mob continued kicking and punching her even while a security guard tried to break up the assault ( shown in this grainy video ).

Despite efforts to save the woman at a local hospital, Pham died from the severe trauma to her body. However, other unconfirmed reports say the woman is brain dead and being kept on life support long enough to donate her vital organs.

The victim [Kim Pham] was kicked about her body and her head, and that's when she went unconscious," said Santa Ana Police department spokesperson, Corp. Anthony Bertagna.

She was a very sweet person, great spirit," said Larry Trinh, who recalled his fondest memory of Pham when she came by his home and showed her love for living things by embracing his barking dog.

A person arrested in Kim Pham's death investigation is a woman, only identified as being in her '20s. However, police are searching for at least two men and two women, who may have taken part in the woman's beating.

The Kim Pham arrest story is developing.
