Kim Manning is now ready to step out on her own, and with her new singing partner Andrea Wittgens, they have unwillingly created a new type of love song!
Enter "Reboot Robot", a song about the story of two robots falling in love and rebooting because the feeling of love is too intense for their circuits!
Kim studied classical music from the young age of six and was "turned out" when she was hand selected by George Clinton to join his P-Funk All-stars. Here she began the stretch from holistic vegan yoga teacher to Funkadelic Rock star to VH1 Celebreality Star. Since then Kim Manning has performed around the world and on TV shows as David Letterman and the Grammy Awards and with artist as Snoop Dogg, Red Hot Chili Peppers (charting on Billboard in 2009), and the String Cheese Incedent. She’s been profiled in such Magazines as "Singer","Relix" "Details", "Hightimes" and recently chosen as URB's Next 100.
Kim says :
"Writing Reboot Robot was the most fun I’ve had since kindergarten. We locked ourselves away in a room at the Holiday Music Motel with a piano and an Iphone filled with tracks by Matt Willson. We had the intention of writing another serious soulful song and ended up laughing til we cried and writing a song about robots falling in love. We got stuck on this idea that robots reboot themselves when the have sex, it was so ridiculous we knew it just might work."
