Dr. Simon Qurian, a plastic surgeon for celebrities, had his license temporarily suspended after several of his patients complained.

Dr. Qurian is Kim Kardashian West’s personal plastic surgeon, but so far, she is not the one complaining. In 2003, one patient went to the Medical Board of California Department of Consumer Affairs and filed a complaint against Dr. Qurian. The unidentified patient had a laser peel done for wrinkles and correct discoloration, but it went terribly wrong. After having a Coolaser peel done, the person allegedly sustained second-degree burns. The burns were so severe, that Dr Qurian couldn’t treat them. He had to send her to the Grossman Medical Center for treatment.

Another patient filed a complaint citing Dr. Qurian of “unsanitary practices.” Another patient of Dr. Qurian filed a complaint against the doctor after going through two Coolaser treatments. According to Radar Online, this complaint accused him of “gross negligence, repeated negligent acts, incompetence, false advertising, and other damning acts.” This botched procedure allegedly left the patient with second-degree burns. Her face had a “hard dry crust all over her face and … bleeding from her cheek and chin.”

The complaints against Dr. Qurian do not end there. Another patient came forward claiming the doctor broke a blood vessel in her left eyelid, while he administered a laser treatment on her face.

The complaints against the doctor resulted in a criminal investigation by the FDA and FBI. Dr. Qurian failed to keep proper documentation on the procedures he used and he allegedly used more laser treatments without the patients consent.

When the medical board asked the doctor why he didn’t document his procedures, he replied that the documents were “sometimes used against him, when a patient is unhappy with the result, and the issue goes to court.”

The medical board fined Dr. Qurian around $16,000. They required him to take courses in medical record keeping, clinician-patient communication, and ethics. He couldn’t practice medicine alone or supervise his physician assistants. He always had to have a licensed physician with him.

Dr Qurian appeared on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" because Kim often uses his services to fix the problems in her face. What are your thoughts on the doctor’s practices? Do you think that Kim Kardashian West and other celebrities should stop having so many cosmetic repairs done to their faces and bodies? Sound off below in the comments section.
