Kim Kardashian filed a declaration with a Los Angeles court explaining that Kris Humphries is threatening the health and welfare of her and her unborn child," according to People.com on Feb. 6.
The mom-to-be filed legal documents stating she wants an immediate dissolution of marriage because it "will help create a new, full life for me.” Kardashian continued, "One chapter will be officially over, and a new one can begin. The same should hold true for (Humphries)."
Kardashian’s estranged husband NBA star Kris Humphries claims she defrauded him in their 72-day marriage and wants an annulment on the basis of fraud, not a divorce. In response to the filing Humphries says the fact that Kardashian has an "apparently unplanned pregnancy" by another man is no reason to expedite the proceedings.
The 32-year-old reality star says, "I am currently pregnant by a man with whom I began a relationship well after I separated from (Humphries)." She continues, "I do not want to be married to (Humphries) when I have my baby. Adding, "I am requesting the status of my marriage be determined for now for not only my health and welfare but also for the health and well-being of my unborn child."
Kardashian and boyfriend, superstar rapper Kanye West are expecting their first child in July.
