Kim Kardashian wants to lose 10 more lbs after 50-pound weight loss

Kardashian wasn't crazy about the bikini photo splashed across the new cover of Us, in which she sports a white string bikini. "It was OK," she told E! "I think I still have about 10 pounds to go."

It's a surprising admission from Kim, who has one of the admired bikini bodies in the world. Kardashian lost 50 pounds just five months after giving birth to daughter North (in June 2013), thanks to the low-carb Atkins diet and rigorous workouts.

During the summer, Kardashian's diet consisted of lean proteins and healthy fats like avocados and nuts and limited carb intake to less than 60 grams a day.

Kim's diet was a low-carb, high-fat ketogenic-style diet known for producing rapid weight loss. Kardashian's daily menu typically looks like this:

  • Breakfast: Omelette or Greek yogurt with berries and slivered almonds.
  • Snacks: One to two ounces of nuts or a guacamole dip with fresh veggies.
  • Lunch & dinner: A serving of fish, poultry, eggs, or lean red meat with lots of fiber-rich vegetables prepared with olive oil.

Now that she has lost the bulk of her baby weight, Kim is less strict with her diet, but said the Atkins plan made her realize she used to eat too many carbs.

"[Atkins] really trained me not to eat so many carbs," said Kardashian, 33. "I used to eat so many carbs, and now I don't."

Kim, who said losing the baby weight was one of the hardest things she had ever done, also works out daily, combining rigorous cardio exercise with strength-training.

As you get older and your body changes, you just can't eat the way you used to. So I'm training myself and I work out. I love Pilates, I love running. Now that we're on the road, just any gym in any hotel, I just go for it."

Kardashian is traveling with fiancé Kanye West on his Yeezus tour, but is staying in shape with the help of a fitness trainer and a private chef.

Kim admitted she gained a lot of weight during her pregnancy, but said dealing with fat-shaming taunts was demoralizing. She even wondered at one point whether she'd ever lose the weight.

I did gain a lot of weight. It was hard for me. Everyone was not the nicest to me when I was pregnant. You lose sight for a second [and think], 'What if I never get my body back to normal again?'"

Fortunately, Kardashian has, and couldn't be prouder of herself. "I was not a dieter that ever committed before," she said. "I always worked out, but it was a challenge for me. Because I stuck through with it, I was so proud of myself for doing that."
