Kim Kardashian slammed by followers for pocketing 90% of Philippines charity

Kim Kardashian is famous for turning self-centeredness into an Olympic level sport. However, it seems even she can take things too far, according to her mostly vapid and mindless fan base. "Celebrities" pompously patting themselves on the back after giving away a relative pittance to victims of misfortune is certainly nothing new, however, Kim Kardashian seems to possess a unique capacity for taking thoughtlessly diseased behavior to new and repugnant extremes. Her latest display of emotional/moral leprosy is no exception.

After it became known that her so called charity for victims of the typhoon in the Philippines was actually a scheme to pocket 90% of the proceeds while claiming undue credit for giving away a meager 10% of sales from her fashion items, a significant portion of her minions surprisingly lashed out against their leader, pointing out the disingenuous nature of her philanthropy:

I can't believe Kim K only donates 10% of her eBay auctions to the charity she's chosen. That's just preposterous! - twitter user Imani

Just wait until Kanye finds out Kim is giving 10% of all her eBay **** to charity. He'll probably blame George Bush - twitter user Alex Luthor II

Kardashian isn't the only Hollywood character to have donated designer clothing for charity, however she is the only one who guilted her fan base into purchasing her old clothes while claiming almost all profits for herself. Fellow celebrities David and Victoria Beckham, for example, simply gave old clothing to the British Red Cross, rather than launching what amounted to a glorified eBay sale.
