Kim Kardashian slammed by critics as future Razzie Award winner

Kim Kardashian is a big admirer of Oscar-winning actress Elizabeth Taylor, but while she might possess her idol’s talent for looking pretty in pictures and rushing into relationships, she can’t emulate her acting prowess. According to a March 31 report by the New York Daily News, Kim’s appearance in “Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor” might just snag her a Razzie Award.

Kim was previously nominated for a Razzie in 2009 for her part in “Disaster Movie,” but she lost to her old pal Paris Hilton. However, from what critics are saying about her turn as a bitchy fashionista who works for a millionaire matchmaker, she’s actively pursuing one of the awards with her "Temptation" performance.

The Wrap describes Kim Kardashian as “nasal and awful an actress as you might imagine,” and rogerebert.com reports, “It is perhaps ironic that someone so famous for her curves could deliver her lines so flatly.” Kim usually sounds like she’s being fed lines on her reality shows, so it sounds like she didn’t actually do much “acting.” It would actually be kind of hilarious if she wins a Razzie Award for playing herself.

Hollywood.com also criticized Kim's lack of personality by complaining about her character’s “inability to inject the slightest bit of emotion into her steady stream of insults.” So basically her character is supposed to be a mean girl, but Kim doesn’t have the attitude to pull it off.

Vulture has actually compiled a list of every single line that Kim utters in “Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor,” and it looks like one problem with her performance could be that she was given too many lines in the movie -- she gets to flatly recite over 50 sentences.

Is your fashion icon, like, 'Delta stewardess'? That's what you look like.

That's not makeup. That's makedown.

Oh. My. God! You're wearing flats?

Push me out of the window, why don't you?

And you really need an iron to that skirt.

A degree on the wall, without labels on your back, is nothing.

Look at me, Judith. What you should see is people in this office care about what they look like. UNlike you.

Ugh, look at those shoes.

So she doesn’t even get any really good insults to deliver in her voice that’s been described as a “breathy squeak” and a “vaguely disappointing murmur.” Tyler Perry could have made her performance funny and memorable by making the reality show star poke fun at herself, but if he tried to do this, he definitely failed. Hopefully Kim will do it for him by actually giving an acceptance speech when she goes to pick up her Razzie Award. She might be upset that her acting career could be over, but if she does snag the Razzie, at least she’ll be in good company -- Oscar winners Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock have both won Razzies.

Kim can also be happy that she’s getting a break from the world criticizing her pregnancy weight; how fake her reality shows are; and her terrible taste in maternity wear and baby name ideas. And if her acting career doesn’t pan out, she can always try singing again -- remember her catchy tune “Jam (Turn It Up)?” However, Tyler Perry should probably be a bit concerned about all the negative press -- he probably saw dollar signs when he cast Kim, thinking that her legion of faithful “dolls” would buy tickets to see the film. However, they might resist the temptation to checkout “Temptation” when they read all the bad reviews.
