Kim Kardashian was just as shocked as the rest of the nation when she heard of the shooting tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary shooting in Newtown in December. At the time, she spoke out about guns and supporting the local community, but it appears that things have changed. Perhaps Kim has forgotten about gun control because according to a new Hollywood Life report released on Feb. 6, Kim Kardashian shared a picture of a diamond-encrusted handgun. One can imagine that she just tweeted the picture because she likes anything shiny, but it does comes across as disrespectful given it has been only a few weeks since the massacre in Newtown.
In fact, Hollywood Life calls Kim Kardashian a hypocrite for her decision to tweet the picture of the handgun as if it was a new necklace. The picture has since been removed, as one can imagine that many of her fans reminded her that it was classless of her to share the photo after supporting the Newtown community. “Today, people in Newtown are making the #sandyhookpromise to reduce gun violence. Sign the pledge with me,” Kim tweeted just weeks ago.
And her followers were quick to notice the gun picture before it was removed. “Kim Kardashian is quite dense, isn’t she? Pledging to support the gun control movement and then uploading pictures of designer handguns…” one follower tweeted, while another one added, “CLUELESS.” Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Kim has tweeted insensitive gun pictures. In the summer of 2012, she tweeted a picture of a gun, adding the quote, “bang, bang.”
