Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got married this weekend in France and it sounds like it was packed with famous faces. However, over the past couple of months, Kim has been trying to convince Vogue editor Anna Wintour to give her some space in the famous fashion magazine. And it sounds like she finally got her Vogue cover. But Anna isn’t about to fly to France for the wedding. According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report published on May 24, Kim Kardashian’s wedding invitation to Wintour was rejected due to other plans.
Apparently, Wintour was invited to the wedding, but she had to reject the invitation because of a previous engagement. A Vogue spokeswoman confirmed to Page Six, "Anna had a longstanding family commitment this weekend and sadly had to miss the wedding.” In other words, it sounds like it wasn’t personal at all. But Vogue will represent at the wedding.
Vogue editor-at-large André Leon Talley will be attending. He has been describing the wedding as he experienced it. "Upon arrival at noon, the paparazzi, about 20, were already outside the gates of Valentino Garavani’s Château de Wideville, once the home to one of King Louis XIV’s maîtresse d’amour," André has revealed. "Kourtney Kardashian told me that about 30 photographers followed their path all the way from Paris to this beautiful and romantic place for a pre-wedding celebration. And a helicopter purred in the clouds throughout the entire visit."
It sounds like this wedding was one for the books, as Kim has been planning it for quite some time. Some bigger names attended the wedding, but Kanye West's friends Jay-Z and Beyonce were not in attendance.
