Kim Kardashian's stylist says designers refused to lend clothes for photo shoot

Fashion stylist Nicola Formichetti says finding designer clothes for Kim Kardashian’s photo shoot for the March issue of “Elle” magazine was challenging, according to RadarOnline.com on Feb. 12.

The celebrity stylist who works with major magazines and top fashion designers tells the website that styling the 32-year-old for the March issue of the mag was tough, mainly because designers refused to lend him clothes for Kardashian to wear.

Formichetti, famous for his work with Lady Gaga, says it was difficult to create looks for the starlet simply because of “fashion snobbery.” He explained that he approached several designers but they declined to have their clothes worn by Kardashian.

“People wouldn’t lend me the clothes,” he says. “But that’s fashion snobbery.”

Kardashian was excited to work with Formichetti and the two were able to pull together several looks for the shoot. In a behind-the-scenes video she tells the stylist, “That’s always so inspiring to me and so interesting to see someone else’s take on me.”

The star took to her website on Feb. 11 regarding the shoot, “I was styled by Nicola Formichetti for this photo shoot for Elle Magazine and I love the way the pics turned out!!! Miguel Reverigeo was the photographer. Such an honor to work with such incredible and talented stylists and photographers.”
