Kim Kardashian has darkened her hair and apparently regrets the new brunette locks according to E! on Monday. The fall and winter months are the perfect time to go from light to dark. Follow the tips at the end of the Kim K report to effortlessly change hair color for a look that won’t cause distress.

Kim Kardashian uploaded a brown-haired selfie to Instagram on Saturday, with the heading, “I’m back”. As of Monday, North West’s mama had received 860 thousand likes, and counting, with mixed hair color reviews, however the consensus was to remain a sultry brunette.

But Kim K is not in love with her return to darker locks. Early on Monday, Kanye West’s fiancé complained to fans via Mobio INsider and asked for help.

I'm so annoyed I dyed my hair dark! I wanted to switch it up since I feel everyone went light, and we started filming a new season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashian”, so wanted a fresh look. BUT now I am missing my light hair! HELP!!!

Kardashian’s colorist, George Papanikolas from the Andy LeCompte Salon, spoke exclusively with E! after Kim debuted her blonde hair back in September.

I've been coloring her hair for a year, and she's wanted to go blonder since the day we met.

Well, now Kim Kardashian has returned to her native roots, with a hint of caramel bayalage throughout for depth, and the Long Island Hair Care Examiner loves it. Why? Darker hair suits the 33-year-old’s olive complexion and brown eyes. Kim K's brown hair gives the reality TV star a natural look, as compared to her often criticized plastic appearance.

The colder months are ideal for changing one’s hair color from light to dark, but if you want to avoid a social media meltdown like Kardashian, then a gradual transition such as an ombre or balayage technique would be ideal.

Try on various color wigs and take photographs in the different shades. If you are the type who needs validation from others, then post the pics on social media to get feedback, or just change away and ooze self-confidence. But, always and only have your hair colored in a salon, especially with drastic changes. For optimal hair color results, never color your hair with a box at home.

Additionally, use a professionally recommended shampoo for color treated hair when going light to dark as Kim Kardashian did. The Long Island Hair Care Examiner recommends IT&LY Hair Fashion to clients and uses it as well.
